Winterwanderung - großer Ostersee-Rundweg

From Iffeldorf, the starting point of the actual circular trail is reached via a narrow path through the idyllic moorland area south of the Großer Ostersee. Wide forest paths now lead for long stretches directly along the shore around the lake, which is located in the middle of the Osterseen nature reserve. Dead ice holes filled with water, such as the Blaue Gumpe at the southern end of the Großer Ostersee, are impressive reminders of the last ice age and are a source of amazement for children and adults alike. Numerous other idyllic places are passed around the lake where walkers can enjoy the unspoiled nature.

Author's tip: In Iffeldorf, you can end the hike with a stop at the Landgasthof Osterseen, the Vitus wine bar or Café Hofmark.
