Health! Everywhere you look, you will find moor as a remedy and in nature, from Rottenbuch to the moor spas of Bad Bayersoien am See and Bad Kohlgrub to the moor-rich Schwaigsee. Along the way you can take a dip, bathe in moorland lakes and in Bad Bayersoien even tread moorland directly on the lake. Moor landscapes and felts form a unique backdrop for this leisurely "health tour". Everything in order? Start by pedaling from the Klosterhof in Rottenbuch on the cycle path to Echelsbacher Brücke (the tour could also be started here). A short stopover with superlatives: the arched bridge with the largest span in the world and the magnificent view over the wild Ammer gorge. After the bridge, turn right and cycle via Echelsbach on the low-traffic road to Bad Bayersoien. Ride into the spa area, park your bikes and stroll to the lake. Spa program: Kneipp therapy, mud treading and relaxing in the climate lounger pavilion. Well rested, you can then continue on to Bad Kohlgrub, simply following the signs. It's a wonderful piece of nature here, the area is called "Geizenmoos". The ride to Saulgrub makes hearts beat faster as it is constantly slightly uphill. There is a beautiful view of Bad Kohlgrub and the "Hörnle". Via Altenau, you cycle comfortably into the Unternogg area. It remains nicely shaded until Peustelsau/Kreut. In gentle curves, the path leads past individual farmsteads and districts, partly downhill and then uphill again, through Morgenbach to Schwaigsee. Fancy a refreshing dip in the moor water? Back to the Echelsbach bridge and along the cycle path to Rottenbuch. 35 kilometers - and fit as if you could tear out trees!
