Panoramaweg bei Prem

From the Lechaue hiking parking lot, the trail leads past the Lechaue restaurant-cafe, through the sports facilities (table tennis, badminton, chess, etc.), a water treading pool and a forest playground. After crossing the Mühlbach stream (information board), the trail passes the fire station and the maypole (seating area) and continues slightly uphill via Flößerstraße, turning right at the lime tree on the church square towards Moosreiten. At the top of the hill, a path or meadow path on the right leads to the Mühlberg with a panoramic view of Prem, Lake Lechsee and the nearby Ammergebirge mountains. Above the Kaltenbrunner See lake, the field path leads down to the hamlet of "Küchele" with views of the Kaltenbrunnersee lake and the Ammergebirge mountains. The short detour down to the Kaltenbrunnersee is not only worthwhile on hot days; in Küchele, the panoramic trail crosses the district road and the Mühlbach stream. Soon after, you reach the top of the Premer Lechsee dam. On the left, the Halblech with its extensive gravel fields flows into the Lechsee. There is an observation station where you can watch the local birdlife and take a break. You can now choose to continue along the top of the dam or on the path to the right below to the "Obere Aumühle" sawmill and continue back to the parking lot at Lechaue.
