Frankenwald-Radltour 2. Etappe Kronach - Neukenroth

Daily stage from Kronach to Neukenroth. 
 
Route description: Kronach – Neuses – Johannisthal – Tüschnitz – Schmölz – Leutendorf – Mitwitz – Neundorf – Haig – Glosberg – Reitsch –Neukenroth (Ü), 36 km.

Details of the route:
Start: Kronach, Hotel Försterhof, Paul-Keller-Str. 3. From the hotel, turn left along Paul-Keller-Straße to Wachtersflurstraße. There turn right to the street „Am Flügelbahnhof“. From here, turn left along the cycle/footpath into the grounds of the former State Garden Show.

In the former State Garden Show grounds, turn left at the Seebühne and stay on the main path in the State Garden Show grounds in the direction of Neuses. At the end of the grounds, you will come to a cycle and pedestrian bridge and, a little further on, a second small bridge over the Rodach.

After this bridge, turn right onto the cycle path towards Neuses. Shortly before you reach Neues, cross the Rodach over a footbridge and enter the village of Neuses.
Cycle through the village and continue on the cycle path towards the south.

After you have left Neues behind you, continue on the cycle path along the road until you reach an underpass.

Turn right there and continue until you reach Johannisthal. At the Aral petrol station at the entrance to Johannisthal, take the underpass into the village, turn left in a southerly direction through the village and continue until you reach Tüschnitz.

In Tüschnitz turn right, through the village and on to Schmölz. Turn left at the church and follow the cycle route past Beikheim to Leutendorf, on to Horb a. d. Steinach, then Steinach and on to Mitwitz with its historic moated castle


Continue via the villages of Neundorf and Haig to Gundelsdorf. When you reach the B 85, turn left at the traffic circle and then take the road to Glosberg (Maria Glosberg pilgrimage church).

The route then continues via Reitsch and Größau to Neukenroth until you reach the Hotel Rebhan you have booked.
