Route:

Forchheim station - Kirchehrenbach (7km) - Pretzfeld (10km) - Hagenbach (12km) - Hetzelsdorf - Hundshaupten (16km) - Hundsboden - Ortspitz - Dietzhof (22.5km) - Schlaifhausen (24km) - Wiesenthau (25.5km) - Reuth (27km) - station. Forchheim (31km).

From Forchheim to Pretzfeld in the Wiesent valley on farm tracks; from Hagenbach several steep climbs to Hundsboden. From Seidmar it is mainly downhill on low-traffic roads to Dietzhof. Then on country lanes via Schlaifhausen along the foot of the Walberla mountain to Kirchehrenbach and through the Wiesenttal valley back to Forchheim.

Sights:

Old town of Forchheim, Hundshaupten castle and wildlife park, ascent to Walberla from Schlaifhausen or Kirchehrenbach. Walberla Festival: 1st weekend in May; Wiesenthau Castle; Jewish cemetery in Pretzfeld.
