Work started on the Market Square in 1933 in answer to one of the great calls of the traders in the early 20th century. The square was raised following sober and classical design plans by Pere Domènech i Roura, which can be seen in the rectangular windows and Doric columns. The market opens every morning from Monday to Saturday and on Wednesday is surrounded by the street market.
