A narrow path through the forest, at the edge of the cliffs leads to the caves. The hiking trail from Tejeda to Artenara also passes the caves. The Cuevas de los Caballeros (Caves of the Lords) are located in the upper part of the Risco Chapin massif, very steep and high cliffs. In total there are 7 caves with a magnificent view of the Caldera (Crater) of Tejeda. 6 of the burrows were completely carved by the primordial inhabitants, the seventh is a natural large one that was made larger. At first it was thought that these were residential caves. In 3 caves, however, triangles were found carved into the walls, triangles that indicate the female sexual organ. In addition, a water channel had also been dug in the soil. These things indicate that the caves were used for the fertility cult. Locals thought witchcraft was being practiced. In the past, one could visit the caves with a guide. Now this is no longer the case. The caves are closed with iron fencing due to vandalism. One cave lies a bit to the side and can be reached via a path.
