When we follow the GC-210 a little back towards Artenaria, the dam can be seen on the left. Just like everywhere in Gran Canaria there is a water shortage, it rains too little. The water in the dam is used as domestic water, for the animals and for agriculture. Bottled water must be used for human food. Until 1960 the church of Vega de Acusa stood here.
We get back about 700m along the low-traffic GC-210. On the right side of the road we have a view of a deeper gorge
