The sanctuary was opened in 1951 , complementing the Salesian school next door. On the outside, it is reminiscent of the Andalusian hermitage style, with a central bell tower.
The statue of the María Auxiliadora is highly venerated in Ronda, it is made of wood and filled with pasta. It comes from the Talleres Salesianos de Sarria. The one that goes in procession during Holy Week is another sculpture, made by José Navas Pareja, from 1938.
