The old Hospital de la Sangre de Nuestro Señor Jesucristo , also known as the Hospital de la Sangre, is a building constructed in 1485 as a hospital in the neighborhood of Santiago.
It is a simple building with clear Renaissance lines, of which the 18th-century Baroque façade stands out.
The original high relief of the facade lintel is housed in the city's Archaeological Museum . It shows Christ coming out of the tomb with one of his feet resting on one of the soldiers guarding him.
In 1852 it became a retirement home , which was used as a social emergency room for families in particularly difficult circumstances until 2011 .
