Church of the now disappeared Monastery of San Pedro de Alcántara, founded in the 17th century. Built by Baltasar de los Reyes, according to the plans of Luis de Rojas, it has a counter-reformation plan, with a transept that is hardly indicated on the plan, but is prominent in height, with side chapels. In one of them, at the end of the transept, is the statue of the Christ of the University, the patron saint of the Fraternity of Students, which has its canonical seat in this church. The main altarpiece is a work by Francisco Hurtado Izquierdo from 1695.
In 1835 the monastery was closed and the church remained open for worship. Remnants of the former convent's cloister are incorporated into the Youth Hostel's facilities, with access from the Plaza de Juda Leví.
