Monieux

We follow the road along the small dam of the Nesque. We start another long climb. At the end of the road, we turn right and climb further. The road turns and turns and behind us we get a nice view of the mountain village of Monieux and of Sault that lies in the distance between the lavender fields.
We climb along a valley and through a forest further. At some point you can turn left onto the main road, but we don't. We climb gently on. This is a very quiet place. Every now and then we catch a glimpse of the gorge we cycled through an hour ago.
We do not follow and ask ourselves the question where this road leads or how long it is still uphill. At some point we come out of the forest to some pastures with horses and a few large farms. Saint Hubert is the name of the place.
Now pay attention. From now on, it goes down long and fast. After a while we arrive in a new valley where we take the river down to the right. So don't drive up on the left! It still bolts nicely. And the road is spectacular here too.
