This chapel rises high above the village of Filain and the water surface of Monampteuil in the valley of the Ailette.Until 1940, this place was a popular place of pilgrimage, especially because of the proximity of a spring. This spring was known for its healing of feverish states. The location of this chapel was the subject of repeated fighting and was finally set on fire by the Cossacks in 1814 before being completely destroyed during the First World War. The current building was built in 1932, on the initiative of the Leduc family, owner in 1914 of the farm of the Royère.
