In 1017, Hildegaud, powerful Lord of "Rozoy and Thierache", founded a college of canons and a chapter within the enclosure of the castle. He built a church, which was consecrated by the Bishop of Laon and dedicated to Saint Laurence. The collegiate church overlooks the town of Rozoy-sur-Serre. The church, founded in 1018, is now operated by a local association "Friends of Rozoy and its collegiate church" who wish to upgrade the surroundings of the chapter. The association organizes guided tours, lectures and performances to revive these places...
