The Arthur Rimbaud Museum, located in the heart of the historic center of Charleville, is the place to discover the life and work of Arthur Rimbaud through the poet?s manuscripts and numerous works by contemporary artists such as Picasso, Léger, Giacometti, Cocteau, Max Ernst, Sonia Delaunay and, closer to home, Ernest Pignon-Ernest, who were inspired by Rimbaud?s workthe Arthur Rimbaud Museum holds over 2,000 works in its collection. These include autograph manuscripts such as "Voyelles" and "A la musique", photographs taken by Arthur Rimbaud, whether self-portraits or snapshots of his daily life in Africa, and artists? books, veritable works of art, illustrating Rimbaud?s poetry.
