Zellenberg

One of the pearls of the Alsace wine region, on the edge of the Route des Vins d'Alsace, between Riquewihr (1km) and Ribeauvillé (3km), a picturesque village of around 400 inhabitants, perched on a hill in the middle of the vineyards at an altitude of 285m, Zellenberg combines charm and a gentle way of life, with its old houses, narrow streets, cool fountains,?

A historical trail shows what Zellenberg was like when it was a town, capital of a bailiwick of the Lords of Ribeaupierre, with the remains of the town's fortifications.
The signposted vineyard trail takes in the two local Grands Crus: Froehn and Schoenenbourg, located on the communal finage. Walks around the hill provide exceptional views over the Alsace plain and the Vosges mountains.
Winegrowers offer their range of Alsace wines, cellar tours and tastings.

Bed & breakfasts, self-catering cottages, hotels, restaurants, intercommunal camping sites and mobile shops are all available to visitors.

Zellenberg is a welcoming, flower-filled town, often referred to as 'Little Toledo', and is the ideal place to explore the surrounding tourist attractions.
