The International Museum of Perfumery is a museum, categorized as Musée de France, located in Grasse, in the Alpes-Maritimes department.
The museum illustrates the techniques and know-how of traditional French perfume making, as well as their uses throughout history. The museum's mission is to preserve and exhibit collections that present the history of perfumery since ancient times: soap, make-up, techniques, marketing, archaeological remains. The museum is divided into 5 thematic sections: elegance and classicism, magic and dynamism, lightness and hygiene. These different themes are in turn organized with a Western chronology, from antiquity to the present.
