The Tramasset shipyards are a heritage site dating from 1837, located on the banks of the Garonne, 30 minutes from Bordeaux. They are listed in the inventory of historical monuments. Since 1997, the association Les Chantiers Tramasset has invested in the place by developing the craft activity of marine framework in order to perpetuate the know-how and preserve this river culture. The association is also a place of living initiatives in rural areas. It offers guided tours and a self-guided tour through the shipyard and the old port, activities for schools and an artistic program from March to October. A cultural festival takes place every year at the end of July. These activities take place in a monumental hall, in wood and stone, from 1890. Ideal place for a family picnic with its breathtaking view of the river.
