Housed in an exceptional Renaissance mansion (classified M.H.) and spread over 17 rooms, the Labenche Museum's collections bear witness to the rich history, archaeology and heritage of the city of Brive and its region. This establishment, holder of the appellation "Musée de France", exhibits a remarkable collection of tapestries from the manufactures of Mortlake and Aubusson as well as the piano that belonged to the famous composer Claude Debussy. It also has a rich collection of prehistory. The museum also organizes many temporary exhibitions and animations with various themes throughout the year and participates every year in national cultural events (European Museum Night, National Archaeology Days, European Heritage Days, National Architecture Days).
