This typical village bears witness to the thermal activity of the western Vosges. In addition to its church, its old mill and its three crosses, Dolaincourt has the only cold sulfur spring in the North of France. Exploited since 1875, a chalet was built in 1881 to house the refreshment room and the bottling plant. This water, which is used to treat bronchitis and skin diseases, is sent to pharmacies in the region and in the major cities of France. The exploitation stopped in 1914.
The chalet was restored in 2012 by the association "Les Amis de Sarmery".
