Description

Nicknamed “Romilly the socks”, it was the real capital. You will be able to discover how the winding mills and shoemaking looms work. A team of volunteers will explain the different stages of manufacturing to you. Different spaces are dedicated to elastic knitting, the “Cachou” sock, companies of yesterday and today, as well as the largest sock in the world, listed in the Guiness Book. Old wax makers will also bring back to life this profession of yesteryear. Open every Thursday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Other days by appointment. Guided tour for groups of at least 10 people by appointment. Disabled access and parking.
