This monument was inaugurated in the 1920s.
As in many municipalities of the Avesnois, the inauguration of the war memorial was an important event for the entire population, but especially for the many relatives and survivors of the carnage that was the First World War . The crowd was huge and the small town square was not big enough to accommodate everyone.
The monument also mentions the names of the victims of the Second World War.
