Known as the Maison Renaissance , this elegant residence was built in 1580 by Jehan 1er de la Croix, a draper related to the Saint Roch family.
On the cornice is a statue of Saint Roch and his dog , who had the gift of healing people suffering from the plague. On the facade, the saying "Better a little with justice than a lot without justice" has become the motto of Bar-sur-Seine . It is a small street heritage site and offers ribbed spans supported by large cylindrical piers.
