The commune of Alleyrat is located in the Millevaches en Limousin regional nature park, within easy reach of the A89 freeway, 8km from Meymac and 11km from Ussel. Here, between peat bogs and streams, deciduous forests and heather carpets, you'll encounter a remarkable array of flora and fauna. It's a land of legends, but also of hiking and history: the Longeyroux site, the Gallo-Roman ruins of Les Cars, the Gaul village and Varieras bridge, the Chapelle du Rat, the Razel mills, the Mont-Bessou panoramic tower, etc.
