Le Pavillon, Didier Marcel. A65 - Captieux, 2017. Programmation : Didier Arnaudet.
This work, set between the forest and the motorway, unites the vision of the motorist and the walker. It combines three massive barrels topped by a Canadian tent whose scale has been reduced to accentuate the height of the "pole". The various polyester resin elements are mouldings made with extreme precision to exalt the ornamental finesse of the bark and drapery. The rudimentary stacking asserts the "wooded" look of the building. The sculpture emerges unexpectedly in the landscape as a signal that resonates between the tree and the habitat. It is a moment of breathing where nature and the building regain their original harmony. Its fictitious occupants remind us of the discreet presence of birds. This perch is an invitation to an exceptional experience.
