This hill is 428 m high and dominates Volmerange-les-Mines on one side and offers an exceptional panorama on the other
During the 1940 campaign, the 4th regiment of hussars and the 130th infantry suffered heavy losses at this place used as an observatory of the fortified zone. Only one grave remains in the military cemetery, that of Private Raymond Lerouge. His brothers-in-arms, who fell with him, have all since been moved.
Today, it is a place where paragliders can take a walk, with the Cattenom power station on the horizon.
