A legend is attached to the site: before leaving for the Second Crusade, the lord of Château de Rochain entrusted his wife Geneviève and son Manuelou to his steward Félon. At the end of the first year, thinking that his master wasn't coming back, he took his place, but Geneviève refused him, preferring to flee with her son. In the woods, mother and son fed on roots, but the child wasted away. One evening, a doe and her fawn came limping towards them, a thorn pricked in one leg. Geneviève gently removed it, and the animal lay down at her feet, allowing Manuelou to suckle her. Seven years later, the Lord returns from the crusade to learn from the steward of the tragic disappearance of his wife and child. A few days later, he is hunting in the forest and comes across a doe that leads him to a cave...
