Etang de Thiverny

Situated on the edge of the village, at the entrance to the woods, the pond can be reached by taking the footpath leading to Cramoisy. The site has been left as much as possible in its natural state for the tranquillity of the fauna and flora that flourish around the water bodies. It is the ideal place to observe ducks, water hens, dragonflies and other "little beasts". The only facilities on site: a picnic table at the entrance to the pond allows you to enjoy the peace and nature. The peaceful atmosphere is only disturbed by the passage of a train of the "Creil-Beauvais" line, and by the bleating of the goats of the nearby mini-farm "Utopia".
The pond is part of a group of lakes called "De la Maladrerie", separated from the Montataire Urban Park by the railway. A small path allows you to cross it safely to extend the walk in the park of Montataire.
The site is in free access 7/7d and 24/24h. Swimming and fishing are not allowed at the Thiverny pond.
