The Rocheplatte castle was built in the 11th century at the confluence of the Oeuf and Rimarde rivers to watch over the valley. Burnt down, sold and rebuilt in the 18th century, it is now an elegant building, with its towers and moat still in water. The park, created at this time, is home to rare species introduced into the region by Duhamel du Monceau. Close to the outbuildings, a long gothic cellar, probably dating from the 13th century, remains an enigma. (Private property visible from the road).
The Tourist Office of Grand Pithiverais, organizes with the owner of the castle, guided tours of the exterior.
