The Course Landaise is anchored in the culture of the South-West. The Laurède bullring dates from 1930 and is traditionally painted in red and white, and can accommodate 200 spectators. During the races (especially during the patronal festival on the 3rd Sunday of July), the rectangular track is closed and removable stands are installed. The famous jumper-stepper Paul Daverat, a great figure of the Landes race, was born in Laurède. It is said that he had no equal when it came to jumping over the beast, with both feet together, and often with his legs tied with a handkerchief! A monument is erected to his glory next to the church. If you wish to continue your visit of Laurède, two walking routes are proposed to you: the northern circuit of 5.9 km which will guide you to the oak groves and the Adour, the southern circuit of 5.3 km which will join the Castle of Taule.
