Lord Woolton or Earl of Woolton, was the Minister of Food during World War II. It is noted that he considered during the war to feed the country with black pudding, made of the surplus blood-bank donations. Nevertheless, he rejected the plan.
He died here in 1964 at his home, Walberton House, in Arundel.
