The Gospel Pass is a well known cycling route, but usually involves going from Abergavenny north to Hay. This ride goes is the reverse. Starting from the Bull at Craswall with a three mile "hike with a bike", it then leads to 15 miles of downhill, barring the odd tump. Climbing starts again after Longtown, but is fairly easy. Stops at Llanthony Priory and Longtown Castle are recommended. An apres ride drink/food at the Bull may be available sometimes though currently not on sundays or mondays.The Crown at Longtown is an alternative.
