Elvington - Melbourne - Thornton - 11

Simple round trip, flat as a pancake except for a couple of small bridges, passing through some woods and nice countryside. You might see a dear or two in the woods if you cycle quietly.

Follow the B1228 through Sutton, over Pocklington Canal, going straight on at the garage at Rossmoor towards Melbourne. Continue through Melbourne, pass the pub, and after you leave the 30mph zone, turn left onto Church Road, crossing Pocklington Canal (again), to reach the quiet village of Thornton.

Left at the end, through Thornton, follow the road round into the woods. Left at the end, back to Sutton where you turn right to Elvington.
