Omonia Square

I always liked Omonia Square because it gives you the real and unpolished life of Athens without the tourist veneer.

Although the roundabout is not anymore the major traffic intersection of the city after the renovations a few years ago, this square has still a heartbeat of 24 on 24 and 7 on 7.

It is here that you will sense the huge impact of migration into Europe, of which Athens is one of the first stops and entrance gates.

Years ago, the majority of people spending time here were Albanians. Currently, you will see a mix of Asians and Africans.
