Description

The monument dedicated to the fallen of the sea in Piazza Marina in the form of a rudder, with a beautiful medallion by sculptor Filippo Sgarlata , was erected by the Associazione Nazionale Marinai d'Italia and bears a prayer on the inside that appears to be exclusively addressed to the fallen of the Navy.
