The current church of Ecce Homo was built in 1753 on the same site where a chapel called the Crocifissello previously stood and close to the western walls of the city. Given the particular shape of the available surface, the church was characterized by the fact that it had no nave , but rather a central plan, which makes it unique in the panorama of Alcamo churches
The outside of the church has a simple portal surmounted by a niche in which you see a marble tile in high relief depicting the Ecce Homo . The Church of Ecce Homo is characterized by a semicircular vault, pierced by four nails above the four windows oriented according to the cardinal points.
The stucco decorations of the vault deserve special attention, as well as the organ with its singer's podium , placed above the entrance, in front of the main altar, and with the south and north side chapels on the right and left.
Today, the church has been used for some time as an auditorium and as a venue for cultural conferences.
