This tour begins in the cozy Cavaleze that became famous all over the world when on February 3, 1998, an American fighter jet crashed into a cable car and dragged 20 people to death. The climb to Alpe di Pampeago is terribly difficult (8 km at 9.6% average). Pantani and Simoni once won a stage of the Giro here. Along the way we also climb to the pilgrimage site of the Madonna di Pietralba with its baroque monastery. The elevation profiles and slopes are available in the book "Pedalando nelle Dolomiti".
