Check out the photos of this hike

We did this short and beautiful walk on 17.09.2023

It is well implied on one page. Usually she goes to the center of Koerich, but since there were castle parties, we did not find a suitable parking space. We found it in a pedestrian parking lot on the CR105.

Have fun with this beautiful walk,

Eddy, Rita and Prinske

www.visitluxembourg.com writes about Koerich:

Koerich

The Körich pumping station uses the region's wealth of resources to supply drinking water to the south of Luxembourg. The building dates back to the beginning of the 20th century and houses an interactive exhibition that presents the history and various functions of the SES (Syndicat intercommunal des Eaux du Sud) in a playful way. You can also learn a lot about water in general. Visits on request.

In 2014, a storm destroyed a large part of the forest area of Härebësch, which belongs to the municipality of Körich. In the meantime, however, you can follow a nature trail to see how the plants are gradually reclaiming the area. It is a sight that will give you a true "jungle feeling" and will impress even the most experienced hikers. Lovers of healthy, nature-oriented hikes will appreciate the fact that the Körich hiking trail (not this Koerich AP, but it also starts at the hiking car park) is almost completely asphalt-free.

But before you start your adventure, take the time to visit the 12th-century Gréiweschlass Castle, as well as the Church of St. Remy, one of the most beautiful Baroque churches in the country. Both locations are located in the center of Körich.

Another richly illustrated nature trail is located near Göblingen and takes you to the remains of a beautiful Gallo-Roman villa "A Miecher". The size and importance of this villa continues to increase with the progress of archaeological excavations. Underfloor heating, staff buildings, stables, family brewery – that's how the ancient Romans lived, if they could afford it!
