We did this short and beautiful hike on 12/10/2023

Free parking is available in the large car park of the Fuussekaul campsite .

The route is very well signposted in two directions. In principle, you do not need a GPS and/or map. If you still want a card , you can buy it at the campsite reception.

We did them clockwise. The route leads through the campsite to the camping hospice, from where you start the descent into the Lirbechtal. In the valley of a periodic stream, before reaching the Lirbech, you can see a water treatment plant. You follow the idyllic valley of the Livbrech until you reach an old washhouse called "Karelsbur". There is also a picnic area next to the creek.

On the way up you drive in the direction of Heiderscheid, where you cross the N15 and turn right into Dorfstraße. Follow the Dorpstraat for a while until you reach the street Am Eewischteneck. It will take you back to the N15. If you don't like crowds, you can continue along the Dorpstraat until you reach the next street on the right, which you follow until you get back on the signposted route. A dirt road leads you to the back of campsite De Reenert. Afterwards, a staircase will take you to the motorhome port of the Fuussekaul campsite. Just drive under the N15 and the beautiful hike is over.
