Self-wandering Gostingen

Another nice walk from "Self-Walking Tours in Luxembourg". This route is marked with blue flags on a white background. The exit is normal in 'Gostingen', but we parked the car in a street behind the church of 'Beyren'.

Beyren is a village in the municipality of Flaxweiler in western Luxembourg. According to the 2001 census (INE), the municipality has 294 inhabitants. A little further down the promenade you will pass the football field "Beyren", where you will find even more parking spaces. From here we dive into the 'Groussebësch'. A beautiful forest that you have to pass by to get to the hamlet of 'Kapenaker'.

This hamlet has few houses. The hiker is immediately entitled to a beautiful view of the surroundings. From the 'Kapenaker' you go to the CR 143, which you cross to hike through the forest to 'Gostingen'.

Gostingen is a village in the municipality of Flaxweiler in western Luxembourg. According to the 2001 census, the municipality has 323 inhabitants.

As soon as you are out of the forest, you have a beautiful view of the village of Gostingen and the vineyards of the area. From Gostingen we climb to a plateau about 90 meters higher. From here, the hiker is constantly spoiled with beautiful views of the surroundings.

The many crosses that can be found at crossroads stand out during this walk.

Our opinion? One of the most beautiful hikes we have done in Luxembourg. Due to the many climbs and valleys, this can be described as a difficult hike.
