Description

Nooit Gedacht is a flour mill at Grootdorp 93 in Merselo. It is a round brick belt mill from 1867. Unlike many other mills in Limburg, this mill survived the Second World War reasonably well. The mill was converted into a silo in 1964: all the work in progress was removed from the hull. In 1975, a fire broke out when it began to run during a storm. This fire could be extinguished, but after that time the mill fell into disrepair. A foundation was set up that took over the Nooit Gedacht in 1987 with the aim of restoring it to its former glory. In 1995 the flour mill was ready to grind again.
