Description

Landgoed Severt at house number 3 is a new house, built in the style of an English estate around 1790. After the amendment of the Regional Plan in 1996, it is possible to start a 'new' estate. With the new estate, an old name has disappeared. On this spot there was a farm that appears for centuries in archives with the name Boekelt or Bockelt, which is subject to the abbey of Elten. When the Kemnade was sold in 1860, the sales catalogue 'Den Bockeld, bouwplaats huis en erf, tuin, arable land, meadowland, akkermaalsbosch: 6 bunder, 35 rods, 40 ells.
