Centrally located in the beautiful Betuws landscape you will find the vineyards of the Betuws Wijndomein. The total area of the vineyards is 6 hectares. (16000 sticks) Viticulture in the Netherlands is growing. It is estimated that around 250 hectares of viticulture can now be found in the Netherlands.
The first 3500 vines were planted in the spring of 2004. In the autumn of 2006, the first grapes were picked from these vines. From these grapes is an exclusive regional wine made of high quality.
In the spring of 2005, the first expansion of the vineyard took place. Another 3500 sticks have been planted. These vines also need three growing seasons before grapes can be picked. In the spring of 2007 vines were planted again. Click here to see an aerial view of the vineyard.
Betuws Wijndomein works traditionally and sustainably, with respect for people and animals. No chemical pesticides and fertilizers are used in the entire production process.
