On the corner Kruisstuk - Zeddamseweg you have the Luifeltje (Bouman) and a house with the name 'De Berwank', Zeddamseweg 30-30a. This is not a historical name. In the course of time, the building, which was built around 1875, has had various business functions. Among other things, Ko Wassing had a café there. The name was De Vink (named after its predecessor Toon Vink). Here the football players of Berghse Boys changed their clothes. This football club was founded on the initiative of steward Vriezen van Huis Bergh. The association was dissolved and later refounded as Eendracht. Shortly afterwards the name was changed again to Berghse Boys. There would also have been a pigeon club here. At Ko you could go for Davino Ice Cream. Erdhuizen Meubelhandel moved into the building, which later moved to the locations where Bergh Optiek and an employment agency are now located. In the address book of 1935 K. Wassing, Zeddamscheweg, also appears in the section 'Fuel trade'. Ko Wassing was not the only fuel trader in 's-Heerenberg. You also had Co-op Purchasing and Consumer Association 'Ons Belang', Grintweg B 175, phone 54.
