Description

Gerritsens Mill is a flour mill in Silvolde in the Dutch province Gelderland.De mill was built in 1856 and underwent restorations in 1967 and 1999. The mill has been owned by the Gerritsen family for a long time, which explains the name of the mill. In 1972, a descendant of this family sold the mill together with the yard and the warehouse to the former municipality of Wisch. The current owner is the municipality of Oude IJsselstreekThe rods of the mill are 24.30 meters long and are equipped with the old Dutch fencing with sails. A volunteer miller puts the mill into operation from time to time.
