On a branch of the platanus in the Leidsebosje you will see a cute little figurine, known as the Boomzagertje or Treesawyer. The statue is of an anonymous artist who puts the statues in the middle of the night. The city of Amsterdam seems to know the identity, but may not disclose it. There are rumors that Queen Beatrix would be behind this statue... The Queen creates figurines as a hobby. The story is that her statues can be found all over the Netherlands.
