The Renkumse Veer was a ferry service that connected the Betuwe village of Heteren with Renkum until 1973. Coming from the Betuwe, you enter the Renkumse Veerweg from the Randwijkse Rijndijk. At the height of the still existing ferry house from 1912, part of the original ferry pavement can still be seen. On the Renkum side, the ferry could be reached via the Veerweg in the past. It ran from the Dorpsstraat to the south, towards the Lower Rhine. A large part of the original Veerweg has now disappeared. The spring pavement has been preserved and is now located behind the site of paper manufacturer Parenco and is not freely accessible. From 1 July 2015 there will be a ferry connection between Heteren and Renkum again. This ferry connection is mainly of a tourist and recreational nature.
