Kaldenbroek Castle in Lottum in the Dutch province of Limburg is an old country house, which has been extensively renovated over the centuries, and is in good condition in 2008. The castle has been rebuilt several times. It is not known when this happened. In any case, it had the classic structure of a courtyard with a farmhouse with barns and stables and a main building, all surrounded by moats. The current main building is not large and looks like two farmhouses built together in a corner. A lot of marl from previous renovations has been incorporated into the walls and some windows have been closed. Later, the windows were restored in the old style. A barn with layers of marl was demolished about thirty years ago. The canals have also largely disappeared.
