After the tram line was shut down, the viaduct was disused for years. In 1975, the viaduct was used again as such when the Einderweg and Fromm Street were connected for agricultural traffic, which as a result no longer needed to cross the busy highway. Cost of refurbishing of the viaduct at the time were 320,000 guilders. Behind the viaduct the tram made a sharp turn to the left, and then went on to Margraten at the south side of the Rijksweg.
