A safe coast with sand !!!

The residents, entrepreneurs and other stakeholders from the area were asked to think about different ways to make the coast strong and safe again. The majority opted for a fortification with dunes and a beach in front of the dike. This is a safe solution, and offers opportunities to make the area even more beautiful.

By strengthening the coast with sand, opportunities for recreation, tourism, nature and economy are created in the area. This way this area remains unique.

On the other side you see a Clay Lake.
This lake is a clay excavation. The clay from this type of excavation has been used for the various fortifications on the Hondsbosche seawall. Clay sticks well and is often used for dikes. Now birds know how to find this place well.
